Applicants collect required
documentations and send to this office via any of trackable mailing
services. When your visa has been approved, we mail the passport with the
visa back to you right away.
Please notethe Chinese Consulate in Houston issues visas for applicants from the
following 8 States: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida,
Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, and Texas;
as well as Puerto Rico.
Therefore, we only accept visa
applications from applicants with residence or
company / business / school addresses in the above 8 States and Puerto Rico.

Original
passport valid for at least six
months with at least one blank visa page remaining.
·First time applicants who were previously Chinese
citizens must submit a copy of their Chinese passports (only the page with
photograph is needed).
·American born children of Chinese descent must
provide a copy of their birth certificate and a copy of one parent's
passport and green card when applying the first time.
·US applicants who were previously Chinese citizens
and who changed their US passports before must submit a copy of their old US
passport (only the page with the photo) and their old Chinese visas.
·Chinese Americans who were previously issued Chinese visas and have changed their US passports must submit a copy of their old Chinese visas in their old US passports.

Additional Requirements for Non-US Citizens:You
must send a copy of both sides of your U.S. Green Card or your valid U.S.
Visa (except B-1 or B-2 visa).

a professional.

stamped envelope: For security
concern, trackable mail will be highly recommended (FedEx, UPS, Post Office Express Mail, Priority Mail with Delivery Confirmation, or Certified Mail only).
If you choose to use USPS Regular Mail or Priority Mail without confirmation to send passport(s), we are not
responsible for lost mail and lost passport(s).

Please note that applications for rush service must be received by 10:30AM. You must therefore use the morning
delivery service of FedEx or UPS. We are unable to accept personal check payments for
rush service (same day) and
express service (2nd day).
Processing Fee and Payment Method:We accept personal
check, business check, cashier's check, money order or credit card payments
for regular services. For rush service and express service, we do not accept personal check payments. Make check or money order payable to: Chinese Visa Office.
